Took the car and trailer out yesterday for a ride. When I got back I noticed it wasn't discharging a little as I backed into the yard. It usaly did when I hit the brakes. Now after checking fuses, lights, grounds, ect. I found everything works but the brake lights.
This has happened before so I checked the turn signal switch (again).
Another switch gone bad!!!
It has to be the extra load of the trailer lights that keeps burning these things up.
I was thinking of installing a set of relays for the tail lights. To take the load off the switch. Kind of like what some have done for the headlights. I have a good idea how to do the setup of the relays.
My questions are about the relays. What relays should I get? And will they hold up to the constant on/off of the brake light circut? Also do you even think it is a good idea?
