Mopar mini starter connections
« on: June 13, 2008 - 01:27:22 PM »
Hello, anybody else had problems with the main battery cable post on mini starters hitting the block? I have a Mopar perf piece and even after removing the terminal adapter I still had to cut down the stud as shorts as posible and it JUST clears the block. Will have to try and cover it to prevent a spark. Is it just me? :clueless:

I'll go out on a limb and guess you have a big block?

I had to remove the adapter, but I was lucky my cable fit after that. It is a CLOSE fit though.(440)

Here's a tip....1000's installed monthly and very few incidents if any :2thumbs:  383/400/440/426    I run em on my race engines, but my m46 car has a regular starter and no issues

Thanks Al, I swaped out the original starter because it was such a pain to shove into place with the TTI'S. Now I have to find another of those small nuts holding the wire from the relay. I droped it and its in there somewere but cant find it yet! :banghead:
