missing kickdown linkage part
« on: June 17, 2008 - 09:50:02 PM »
Ok, this is a little hard to explain but I'll do my best. On the kickdown linkage there's one rod that goes from the carbs down to a pivot, then another rod going from the other end of the pivot to the kickdown lever on the trans. I need to know how the first rod attaches to the pivot. There's a 90 degree bend in the rod that fits into a hole on the pivot, but there's no hole or groove or anything like that for a fastener. Is there supposed to be some bushing in the hole on the pivot that the rod fits into? This is a big block/six pack setup.

if there is no hole it would have a spring clip like the ones on the choke linkage at the carb  to hold it on , or just drill a hole & use a hitch pin
