Hi Aaron,

Ask them why they took them off the race car and ask if they have any volume numbers, how much cc are in the runners and what size engine they came off and the valve size.    Other than that they look to be a good price with an intake and cam, maybe a different cam would be a better idea for your build, but you could always resell the cam that comes with it. :2thumbs:

Dont buy soemone eles problem... For the cash you can get a sset of new RPMs and 1/2 a set of Crane rollers new. Why were they removed?

pulled cause he went to w5's.
were on a 360, chambers are 59cc

you guys reckon edelbrock heads are the best bang for buck for a cheapish stroked 360 build?
i'm probably a while off being able to afford the build, but want to start getting an idea on parts etc...

i'll probably start another thread in here sometime picking all your brains about the best parts, combo's, etc.

cheers,
aaron.

I'm also planning a 360 build and have been looking at the edelbrock heads. It seems to me like the easiest way to go for dependable power. You could get a different set of stock heads and go the porting and polishing route and get similar flow numbers to the edelbrocks, but after the porting and rebuilding you'll likely have spent at least as much money as you'd need for the edelbrocks.

Check out this link for 360 builds that have been dyno'd. Seems like pretty good info. I'm sure CP will chime in here too...

Some like RPMs, some dont. I've never had issues with them beyond the usual stuff with aftermarket parts. Get a good builder and they will help you thru it. It's easier to design a pump gas friendly modern engine with aluminum heads anyway. Less mussing around with things like open chambers and stuff. With 59cc chambers, you will need a dished piston to run on pump fuel. So ignore quench. I'd rather uase a flat top and Edelbrocks and have quench for pump fuel. And they are lighter... And they have a certain bling factor.
