Tri-City leaf springs
« on: March 22, 2004 - 11:08:52 AM »
I finally got the car back together and I am realizing that the rear springs are pretty beat :o so I have been nosing around looking at springs for the car and I know about the Mopar Super Stock springs, which I hear are good. But I also have been seeing that they have a spring out there by TriCity that is a competition leaf spring that is suppossed to work well too. I just have not been able to get in touch with anyone that has experience with them or even where I can buy them. Any help would be great guys thanks. ;D

It depends what you ar edoing with the car , the SS spring is a drag race spring more than a street spring , I have no experience with Tri  City spring

Please excuse my ignorance, but how can you tell when your springs are worn out?   ???

Your rear end sags. Nothing like a saggy bottom :P Seriously, just look at how the car sits. If your tires are moving further up into the wheel well, then maybe your springs aren't springing anymore.

Yeah i noticed the rear sitting a little lower then before. (the car has been on jackstands for about a year now) but when I rolled it out a couple of weeks ago it was sitting real low. As for what the car is used for I drive it to the car shows here and hopefully will start running it at the track this year ;D Finally have a trailer.
Since I can't really find anything about the TriCity springs I will go with MP SS springs I guess.........Or I could wait a year and convert the car to ladders and coilovers ::) but that is alot of work. We will see maybe I should just drive it and leave it alone for a while??? :)

Thanks guys :)
