Hey all,

I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this intake route...I currently have the RB M1 (motor is a 440) intake w/ a 1" drop base air cleaner and a 14" by 2.75" filter. However, I can't find the height difference between the 2 intakes...the car is back in the states (I'm finishing up my deployment so I can't just go outside and measure it hahaha) but I am considering trying it now that I found a Proform 2 1/4" drop base lid along with a K&N 14" by 2 5/16" tall filter with their X-treme filter element lid - I figured I'm gaining around an 1 11/16" so I think it maybe could be done??? Any thoughts or stories from those that have tried?? Thanks all!!

I used the Victor intake on a 440 under a flat 68 RR hood but i used a 1.5" tall EFI throttle body & a drop base filter & it still barely fit under , not that that will help you much

Thanks Chryco, it gives me motivation to at least maybe try it once I get home hahaha If you barely cleared w/ a flat RR hood maybe the R/T E body hood will help out a bit. I know even with the M1 and current filter set up it's close haha so I know it will be tight even if it does work...ughhh...decisions, decisions...hahaha

you might gain 2" with the buldge in the Chall hood & you will lose 2" to carb height for sure , there will not be much clearance if any
