FYI...door stricker bolt bushing
« on: October 02, 2010 - 04:50:58 PM »
I took off the stricker bolt assembly and dissassembled it.  I sent the bolt, sleeve and washer out to be replated.  The problem was that the rubber bushing that goes between the bolt and the metal sleeve, was rotted out.  I wasn't able to find someone that made this part new.  The entire assembly is available but it is very expensive.  Here is the assembly...

I talked to some people I know and they looked at an early 80's Dodge truck and thought the stricker was the same.  This morning, I went to a small salvage yard by my house.  They let me go out into the yard and see if those trucks had that bushing.

They are exactly the same.  So if anyone is looking for that bushing, you can find it on Dodge trucks.  I looked at one Ram that had the smaller Dakota style assembly.  Sometime in the 80's , it looks like they changed it to the smaller style.   Late 70's through the mid eighties should use the Challenger/Cuda style though.
