3-speed wipermotor

My GTX -69 has a 3-speed wipermotor that only get started if you kick it with the hammer a couple of times on the motorhousing. Have checked the cables for
corrosion but don't find anything. Any suggestions where to start looking?

brushes are probably stuck or worn out

Will look for a replacement one then. Wouldn't know where to fix it.

don`t replace the motor, just the coal brushes...

You also might want to check and see that you have a good ground. I made the mistake of buying a replacement wiper motor (2-speed) for my '68 barracuda only to find there was nothing wrong with the original......only a bad chassis ground!!! just a thought!!

Are the coals special for that motor or could a "normal" carparts shop have them aswell?

just remove the 2 long bolts holding the motor together & the brushes are under the end cover

Coals were stucked but good, the copper threaded axle (whatever it's name is) is burned. Also the going back contact is burned. Since it's the original and the car is also I would
appreciate if someone knows a good restorer of it.

This one I bought for my -68 Charger and thought it would fit the GTX also but not.

It needs this model, I guess the linkage must differ between early -68 and the 69-71 models?
