Asteroid Squadron – Dash Dimmer Switches – Restored
« on: August 16, 2008 - 09:14:12 PM »
This offering is for C-C.com existing trustworthy members only, who are registered before the time stamp of this posting. This is my attempt to offer a restored part at a fair price to help the members in need of this part. I only ask that this part will be installed in your car and not resold.

I am offering these restored dimmers that I have from this batch as shown in the pictures for $80.00 each plus $7.00 (US) USPS Priority shipping that would include insurance and a delivery confirmation number. I would have to verify overseas shipping costs. I will accept a complete undamaged core including the nut that is working or not and send $15.00 to you once received.

I have restored these e body dimmers by disassembling, cleaning, and polishing the metal parts. After a long search, I was able to find a supplier that helps me produce an exact custom made stainless steel resistor coil in diameter, gauge, gapping and taper. The old resistor coil is removed and the new one installed. Each unit is reassembled and tested under a load. The first picture shows on the left the corrosion and burn marks that are left when the resistor coil is not replaced and some offer on Ebay as restored. The right side shows what I replace and install.

If you are not satisfied with my work, you can return it and I will refund your purchase price. I am not a restoration company or a dealer, just another mopar guy, working in my basement, trying to raise some funds to restore my Challenger.

I was coming back from a show tonight(3-400 cars)mixed make, and watched my dash lights go on and off with the bumps in the road, got this new one just in the nick of time!

Don't wait folks this is a great price for a re-done switch, especially if you send the old one in for credit.

Thank you guys. I'm glad you like it Tom. :2thumbs: After you install it, please send me a PM and let me know how it worked out. I hope that solves the problem.

Kenny, you will "qualify" if by following up and send that hemi engine in your avatar to Jackie, too!  :naughty:  :poopoke:

Sorry folks, but I put that word in there because I tried to help a couple of members with finding some parts, from some people I know, that they wanted. After I located them, sent pictures, was give the green light that they would buy them and I paid for them, they disappeared on me.  :banghead:

And if i was to send me Hemi to Jackie, how desirable would she be then, One hot chick with a Hemi Challenger  Telling you now that a Hemi is the only thing she is missing to be beyond perfect :swaying:
