HOW MUCH IS TO MUCH FOR A MOPAR SALES BOOK?
« on: July 30, 2008 - 07:38:56 PM »
I have a 73 challenger, I found a guy that has the original options book/binder from the dealer for 1973. He wants $150.00 for it. Is that to much? It is the book that dealers used to show the cars interior options, paint, vinyl, exc. It also has info on all 73 models from that year. I wanted to get it but didn't want to get screwed if they are notworth anything.

How much should one pay for this book. Complete book but has some common/mild ware and tear.

...how important to you is to own one....how easy are they to find...will you EVER find another one...

...$150. sounds fair for something you REALLY want...but, it's not worth $5 to me, I don't own a 73...

I agree with Daytona. I owned and operated an antique store for many years. It's about what it's worth to YOU. I found by a VERY strange coincidence a book once owned and signed by my grandfather on Ebay. It sold for about ten bucks, but I would have paid hundreds for it as I only have a few things from him. See what I mean. If you are buying it for resale, then maybe $150 is too much. If it was for my car, I'd pay $150.00. Heck, a year specific original factory service manual is about $75.00. So I think $150.00 is quite reasonable. Go for it!!
