1988 Toyota Supra
« on: July 17, 2008 - 05:55:31 PM »
1988 Toyota Supra N/A 5 speed w/ TEMS suspension $1,200

The good:
Engine rebuilt to factory specs. Refurbished crankshaft and head. New clutch.
Added spoiler that came with turbo model.

The bad:
Suspension is tired out. Tires have lots of tread if you don't mind lots of dry rot.
Removed antenna and rear wiper ,smoothing body over. Trans could use a rebuild.
Removed the parts for cruise control (broken cable ,threw parts out)

The ugly:
Little rust (for Ohio). Mostly over wheel wells ,no holes through yet.
Cut hole in headliner for helmet clearance. LSD is trashed.

The story:
Bought this car for autocrossing. Never took it to one ,and I keep ignoring to 'Cuda :P
Pulled out the LSD and resurfaced clutch plates and added shim to spring for earlier lockup.
Heard a crunch come from the LSD during a slow tight turn. Continued to drive it to work and
back without incident but it felt like something was slightly hanging up. Did some silly
things ,just want to be clear how the car is. Feel free to ask about anything else on the car.
Perfect for anyone that has the exact same vision and purpose as I did :P Price negotiable. If
the car doesn't sell as is and I get around to replacing the LSD the price goes up ;)

Why would somebody post a ricer on a cuda-challenger site?  :clueless:
GL with the sale  :lol2:

Well the intention was to bring a little class to an import  :P hence the lack of aluminum and stickers. Also ,selling it here so I can afford parts for my cuda  :burnout:

There's nothing wrong with a Supra. We used to have one and it was one of the best cars we've had. The wife still talks about it.   :2cents:
