Hesitation
« on: July 18, 2008 - 11:03:20 AM »
My 340 with eddy RPM airgap and RPM camshaft always hesitates when I give gas on low RPM's, higher RPm's is now problem.

Any bright ideas?  :feedback: Carb is a 600 cfm, not to forget it takes 1 battery to start it every time the cars has been standing for a while although it's

a warm garage.  :clueless:

I have the same problem with my 360, 600 Eddie carb....at low rpm's, it seems to choke on itself, almost as if too much gas is getting to the carb, but once through that it's fine after.  I replaced wires, coil, plugs, fuel tank sending unit and more but I've always had a feeling the carb isn't adjusted correctly.  My problem is I don't know anyone around here that can adjust them...You'd think living in Orlando that someone would be able to, but all the big shops and some small "mom & pop" shops that I've gone to say they won't touch it.  :banghead:

I don't know what I'm doing with carbs, otherwise I would try something myself.  CP,  Is it hard to adjust the float level? :dunno:

we could pop the top off your carb bob and poke around while you are here. Just see if anything is gunked up, float hanging or something

Eddys typically have the floats set too low & this limits the filling of the accerator pump well which makes the car hard to start & stuble as the throttle is opened

That'd be good....just to see if there's anything real noticable or not.

You can re-use the gasket many times. Just don't break it taking it off.
