Hello From California!
« on: July 21, 2008 - 09:17:40 PM »
Hello everyone! i introduced myself a while back while i was in the process of looking for a project. Well my search finally ended this last weekend when i picked up my new project 71 challenger. Its just a 318 challenger but the motor is all matching numbers. But what really caught my attention on the car is its an original hemi orange challenger with no vinyl top. i cant wait to start working on it, hope you guys enjoy the picture. ill post more real soon.

It just doesn't make sense why someone would paint a Hemi Orange car white.  :clueless:

Go-fish, Yeah i didnt understand either why someone would paint a hemi orange challenger white :clueless:. But apparently the previous owner wanted the challenger to look like the challenger off of vanishing point, he even spray painted all of the chrome on the car black  :nono:

Rabidscott, im located in Napa, its about an hour away from San Francisco.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, im sure ill have quite a few questions throughout the restoration.  :grinyes:

Good find.  It is pretty hard to find numbers matching cars anymore.  Especially 318's.  And this guy wanted a vanishing point car, I am totally surprised he didn't change the engine.  Lucky you!!
