I definately think you would get more for it if you left it alone. I just looked at your for sale post. Some Leno type guy will come by and see it for what it is, a vintage car that has a winning history, and have to have it.
The Leno's of the world can get Plum Crazy original R/T's all day long but cars that have winning history and original paint and lettering are few and far between.

I guess I'm confused... did you just buy this car?  or are you the seller? 
Are you considering repainting in order to make a sale?

I'll go with the leave it alone crowd - the car is a survivor beneath the graphics (which I think are great btw) so it would be a shame to lose that.

first this car is super neat . there are many purple challengers your lucky to have a one of one like this .i paint cars professionaly and  removing the gold leaf wont come off, the car will have an outline forever .a note when a car is repainted but not stripped decals and art will bleed through later its a chemical issue. if you must have a stocker trade down and put some cash in your pockets .again great car and happy driving .c
