international title service...anyone know about or used
« on: July 30, 2008 - 04:52:30 PM »
I am looking at a 73 cuda that has not title, the state of missouri requires one for purchase.  I talked with the buyer and he suggests using international title to get the sale done. Anyone know anything about doing this? Is it legit?  http://its-titles.com/dear74.htm

hi leithal, I have use ITS. twice now for two separate cars. One was a 70 Chally Conv and the other was a 1969 Cobrajet Mustang. I had no problems with either of them. I would recomend using them. I have heard of others having a police officer come to inspect the vehicles numbers and obtaining a title that way. I have heard that the latter is cheaper but I chose to go with ITS. Hope this helps you out.

NOW GET TO WORK!!!   :ylsuper:

Sounds a little odd. Cheaper wouldn't bother me, you're talking big money and stress if things go sour and to go cheap in anything let alone a title of a car is tricky business. Good to see you asking, make sure you do ALL the research. Last thing we want is a sob story. Keep safe.  ;)

I saw your thread.Nice score!  I think there's a title service on the East coast.Doing titles for 30 yrs. They clear the vin #'s get you a title. Check it out.I'll ask a friend.Anybody hear of these guys? I guess it's real legit. :dunno:  Here in CO. all you need is a bill of sale. Then an officer clears your vin. Good luck with it! I was referred to ITS. by another member here (N9671x2). and I just went to there web site and downloaded/ printed out the required form and filled it out. I believe it must be notorized and that basically covers them that you are stating that the car is not stolen. May be a liitle more to it. It has been a couple of years since I have needed their services. Probably others out there as well just look around and ask questions so you don't get burned. Good luck.  :2thumbs:
