440 block parts, where?
« on: July 31, 2008 - 04:28:59 PM »
Hi all,

I have just bought 1970 cast 440 bare block, so only parts what I have is main bearing caps.

Now I need all bolts and little parts like oil filter stand etc. Im not familiar with this type of engine so I do not know all the things I need, I just see holes all around where something should be.

It helps me a lot if I have another, complete 440 in my garage wich I could spy what goes where, but I just dont have any :walkaway:

Is there any place to buy complete bolt set and/or those missing little parts for my engine?
If any one has detail pictures of 440, that helps me too.

Funny you should mention that.  First of all, if you go to this thread, you'll find a list of things you need posted by StRoKer.  http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=47779.0

There are several online sources for parts.  A few of the best are Summit Racing, 440Source, Mancini Racing and Jegs.  Many of the bolts you're asking about can be bought as kits for the entire engine or some part of it.

Good luck!

Thank you guys for help. Those pictures are nice, man I need lots of parts externally, those things what are obvious to most every one who has played with 440. Like that big part wich goes on before waterpump is installed.

I have to go check summit racing web site, familiar place to me , I have ordered stuff from there before and service has been good+parts were ok.

I readed strokers list, sounds nice.
