Those trucks are sweet looking, but I heard a report that the company has had to rush production to the point that they were skimping on armor and such, and also that they have a real bad rollover/failure rate.

Did you guys have any problem with them while you were there?

There are several companies making different versions. None of then are skimping on armor, the government would'nt allow it. It is true that they had to up the production but that meant the factory that makes this particular version went to 24/7 production.
All of the versions from all of the companies are pretty good. There are things on all of them I like and I would'nt hesitate to roll in any of them vice the alternative.
It would be nice if Unle Sam stepped in and took all the versions, did a study on the high points of each, and standardized all of them. That way in the future the stock system would carry fewer varities of parts and get repair parts out faster. These particular ones have M&H axles, a CAT engine, and Allison tranny. They are very solid and take alot of abuse.
No failures and as a matter of fact, these versions have taken IED's and kept driving.
The only deaths with these have been 8 deaths in rollovers and a drowning resulting from a rollover. You have to drive these the right way. They don't just rollover, the driver was at fault each time. Going to fast, turning too sharp.....

Whats the fuel mileage on that?

It varies but worse than a 1974 Cadillac pulling a horse trailer. For OpSec reasons I won't reveal capacities or mileage.
