255/60 or 275/60-15?
« on: March 21, 2004 - 02:13:01 PM »
Hi, just purchased 7x15 and 8x15" Rallye Wheels. Front tires will be 225/60-15, how about rear tires? Is 275/60-15 too much?

I had 275/60-15s on the rears of my cuda when i first got it and they would just touch the fenders on bigger bumps or when i had 4 people in the car. So i down sized to the 255/60-15s in the rear, but i think that 265/60-15s will fit ok. :)

That's what we put on in the back.  They sure do look beefy back there  ;D.  Here's a pic.

Have you considered 275/50/15?  If I don't step up to 17s, I will likely run this size of tire in the rear.  Personally, I think that this tire diameter would look good.

Any pictures with 275/50-15 tires? I'm wondering if 275/60-15 makes my car look like a Jeep... ::)

10x15 Weld Wheels (5.5# rs) with 275/60-15 tires. Tight fit, I can hardly put my fingers between tire and leaf spring.

One more - top view.

I have decided purchase 275/60-15 BFGs and put them on my 8x15 Rallyes. Now I will remove rear axle and front suspension to get my body blasted.
