Congratulations.  Car looks awesome.  I think I may have met some of you guys on the pictures before when you owned the Gurney 'Cuda.  One thing I have noticed on the 76 car you just finished restoring is that rear quarter panels seem to be dead on to the pictures I see circa 1970 when the car was raced.  Not to take anything away from the 77 car but there is something that doesnt seem 100% correct on the rear quarter panels.  Please post more pictures.  Great job!!!!

WOW!!!!!!!   More pics please   :droolingbounce:  :droolingbounce:  :eek2:  :wow:

Sorry guys for the delay.   I lost all my favorites and this site was on the list.   I ran across it again through google.   After the Mopar Nats we made a list of over 40 items we wanted to finish, redo, or improve on befor the Concours show at Churchill Downs the weekend befor last.   We got all but one done for the show.  We got a second in class but they didn't do a full Concours DeElegans type judging.  It was what we call in model car contest,  Curbside Judging.  No hoods were open, No doors, No trunk or no engine start up.   Oh well it was fun and we ended up with a shorter list of 6 items to improve on in the next couple of weeks.   We will be taking the Posey and Petty Challengers to SEMA in Las Vegas next month.  After that we don't know where we might be taking it.
I will get some pics resized and post them on the message board or maybe get together some pics on an internet site.   Thanks for the nice comments on the car.   It was a work of love to finish,  Well untill things didn't go together right then we cussed it.  But really it was a lot of fun to see it come back to life and turn out so well.  If you go to YouTube and look up Challenger Trans Am on the search (I think that will work) we have 2 videos of the first Start-UP.   It really sounds better than the video because of the echo's from the garage and the little wall beside of the car plus the fact that the Video camera messes around with the volume to keep if from being so loud and it makes it sound funny.   I have another one that I need to put on there from the Concours show.

Thanks   Dave

I sat in the 77 car at Coronado Speed Festival in San Diego. It was a great race and weekend for Trans Am musclecars. If you guys were interested it is every Oct. at North Island Naval Air Station in beautiful Coronado. The weather is great and there are a ton of old Porsches, new Ferrari's, Vintage Muscle Car racers (most of them the original racecars), and alot of racing.
