Tool Selection?

I want to remove the front and rear glass on 1972 'Cuda. Is there a how to and what tools are needed to remove the trim out there? Thanks for any suggestions.

If you know what you're doing, it's not too hard.  But if you don't, it's a PITA,  Leave it to the professionals or a friend that knows what they're doing; otherwise you risk breaking/cracking the glass.   :2thumbs:

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

I now just use a hammer.   I find it saves me time and worry just smashing the windshield.    I used to take lots of time to slowly cut out all along the edges, making sure to take it easy, clinching my teeth and trying to be so careful only to get it almost out and  watch a little crack jump across it.    :misbehaving:    :pullinghair:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

   :lol:  Guaranteed to remove it that way!  I have had success with a warm (with a propane torch) steak knife that was "customized" to fit around the glass. They usually crack trying to pull the glass out before it's fully freed (in my experience).

Once you get the trim off, weedeater string wrapped around dowels works really well.  Just take your time and be sure you have it free before putting alot of pressure on it.
