I hope a bunch of the the Guys from this site in and around Florida and surrounding area we can get together for this cruise. Here is a update email I received:

Thanks for registering your '72 Dodge Challenger for the Daytona Beach Dream Cruise. We’re now just two months from this terrific new, fun, free event on Fri., Sat. and Sun., Oct. 24 - 25 - 26.  We’ll send you another email message before the event with the check-in location and more daily activities details.  Please go to www.DaytonaBeachDreamCruise.com and click on the Schedule of Events button for info about the following special gatherings that will all be free:

Friday night’s kickoff features a terrific “Images of the King” contest with 20 Elvis Tribute Artists at Pub 44 on Main St. in Daytona Beach overlooking the Halifax River;

Saturday will feature plenty to do with open houses at Raabe Racing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Crane Cams from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be a great gathering in the huge parking lot of the Volusia Mall from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. that will include a free outdoor movie highlighting exciting racing on the beach in this area through 1958. Bring your lawn chairs. Driving along the suggested 9 mile Atlantic Ave. cruising route is recommended during the hours from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday. You can choose the times and distances you wish to cruise. Car and truck clubs and impromptu groups will be gathering at various locations around town. Whether make-oriented or mixed-make, these groups can cruise together from their chosen starting points and at desired times;

Sunday details are being finalized. We’re also determining where everyone will check-in upon arrival. We’ll be addressing these topics soon on the Schedule of Events page of www.DaytonaBeachDreamCruise.com . Maps will also be added to the web site.

We look forward to your joining us and we appreciate your telling other car & truck enthusiasts about the Daytona Beach Dream Cruise. There’s tremendous interest in the event, and we're getting far more registrations than anticipated. Even though there are lots of special vehicles shown in the web site gallery of pre-registered cars & trucks, only about one of five registered owners sends us a photo or photos of their vehicle, so registrations are way above what you see in that photo gallery. Let’s all have fun safely. Please drive sensibly and do not exceed posted speed limits. You can find great accommodation deals through our special packages by clicking on the link near the bottom of the home page of www.DaytonaBeachDreamCruise.com.

See you soon!  Rick D'Louhy, Event Director, Daytona Beach Dream Cruise
