Interesting.  I wonder if it had a different letter or number designation on the fender tag and build sheet. 
  Maybe it was something that was different for the year but you could also get the full protectors in the same year, the 72.

That was the 72 chally I purchased last winter.  I drove it from Missouri and put it through it's first snow storm in quite some time.  
  Anyway, here are the full ones that had the rubber insert on the body crease.  

Listed as V5X on the fender tag.  Mouldings-protective vinyl insert body side   includes pinstripe on 70'Cuda and barracuda.
 Out of the little book.  

  Yes I understand it is a dodge and the parts are different, I just assumed that the dodge and plymouth could possible have the same option.

I checked my pictures and found that 70 and 71 have the full length side moldings and found 74 have as well and it looks as if 73 may have too .  But i have not found any other 72's with full length moldings going by pictures. :2thumbs:

Did not mean to go a stray.  Just the question came up and i ran with it, knocked of some lovely people over on the way but stopped to help them back up of course :2thumbs:
