All bets are off.

Just pulled the intake off the 318 in the Road Ruster.  I happened to sneak a peek at the top side of the bellhousing and guess what's written in yellow paint ?  72 Duster 318.  Looks like that answer's the question of matching #'s.  Looks like the 440-6 might get broken in a little early. ;)  Soon as the body on the Challenger is done, I can put it where it belongs.  Hehe can you smell that rice a cookin ? ;D

I wasn't too hopeful that it was numbers matching, I plan on pretty much driving it.  LB and I have a race scheduled when he gets his 6 popper roaring.  I figure 6 barrels vs. 6 cylinders would be even.  ;)

Oh yeah!! We're still on PG!!!! ;D ;D

DF, it's funny you mention that, as there IS a 6bbl intake for a slant six... it's a custom Offenhauser aluminum intake... 3-2bbl carbs... pulls like 900 cfm if I've read correctly.... a slant six racer just north of me actually owns it and plans to put it on his car... I'll have to see if I can get a pic of it sometime!! :o 8) 8)

my uncle made a 4bbl tunnel ram intake (i think thats what he called it ::)) for a slant six...i'm sure if your "good" you could probably hook up a dual 4 set up and run two thermo quads or eldy's since they run by how much air its sucking in...

The dual weber setup that I'm going to be running will be pulling about 350-400 cfm per each carb!!! ::) ::) Mash the happy pedal, and it's like Christmas everytime!!! :o ;) :D

There was a factory ram manifold w/ 4 bl carb in early 60s.  Holman -Moody shop out of Charlotte, NC took a '60 or '61 Valiant to Daytona & ran 145mph w/ a "stock" slant 6 w/ this set up.  They did do a good fine tune job on it, but it was w/ factory supplied & available to public eqpt.  There was a guy down home (Altavista, Va) who had a '61 Dodge Lancer (a Valiant w/ a little diff fenders, trim etc) w/ ram man & 4bl w/ 3 spd in floor.  It is my understanding he dusted off quite a few V8 cars around town before folks found out not to mess w/ him.   Ovmf

Mike, can your engine take a triple webber set-up?  ??? There's one down here for sale on www.trademe.co.nz just enter Mopar as a search.
Cheap to I think, half the price you see and that's roughly what you'll be paying.  :D

Shipping may bite, but you'll probably still pay less as there cheap as down here and common........ ;D

NZ...don't know how well the 265 head will bolt up to my 225... plus, that intake is made for side-draft webers... I'd like to stick with down-draft!! Thanks for the heads up tho!! ;) :D
