I fired up and broke in my big block this week and all went well
The new Redline electric oil pressure gauge I installed immediately went to 80 psi + reading evening when priming the motor with the priming tool. When the motor is running, even at idle, the guage is pegged and doesn't seem to move until the power is cut off. Is this something with the sending unit, calibration, grounding, or with the engine? The engine builder did help me with the break-in and indicated the motor was very tight so he was not real concerned with the pressure. Comments?
