Power to Manual??
« on: August 25, 2008 - 08:25:28 AM »
Well it looks like my power booster is FUBAR..so I guess now would be a good time to switch to manual brakes.

So, I guess I will need a new master cyilender, adjustable pushrod, retainer and reenforcement plate.

Is it possibel to modify the power reenforcing plate? If not, where woull I find the proper one?

Am I missing something?

Your master cylinder should be fine.  To make it look ok you need new brake lines.

check to see if you have the groove in the rear piston for the O ring that retains th emanual brake pushrod , if it does you can use th emaster you have if not you will need a different master

I've got a good used booster if you need one. Brakes worked great when we took it off 2  years ago.
