brake linkage- Did I lose something?
« on: February 03, 2015 - 11:33:17 AM »
Took the booster and pedal linkage out two months ago.  Before I removed things, I took a picture.  Now I'm putting it all back in and something's not right.  The booster rod has a 9/16" hole and the bolt that connects it to the link is only 5/16". Did I lose a bushing?

Did you change the brake booster ? If not, then you lost the bushing in the brake booster push rod :2cents:

I don't think you are missing anything as I just did this.

Come to think of it, doesn't the bolt going through the booster have a shoulder on it?

I figured there had to a bushing.  I had taken the booster out and repainted it.  It didn't make sense that the booster just rattled around on the 5/16" bolt, so I turned a bushing while I was waiting for the experts to weigh in.  Thanks for the confirmation.
