I've been running a poly tranny mount with stock rubber engine mounts for 6-7 years now with no problems. I do have a chain on the driver's side of the engine to keep from tearing the left mount apart, but it has enough slack in it that the engine moves some.

I would think if one were to run a poly trans mount, you would want poly engine mounts? I wouldnt think you would want to mix it up?? hope im not hijacking, i just figured it would be a good post to talk about this in....  :swaying:

I run the poly trans as well with rubber engine mounts, no problems as far as I can tell.

Hmmm... I was also thinking that even the rubber interlocking engine mounts would be too stiff b/c it sounds like the bolt all the way through... So, wouldnt there be no flexing?? I just want to make sure the car doesnt rattle apart.....  :working:

the car will absorb a ton of engine vibration with near solid mounts , the interlocking mount is virtually a must a the least vibration transmission , any soild torque strap will transmit more vibs

I bought my poly mount from Brewers, bolted straight in, even though I have access to a press I found it much easier to buy the whole mount.

:chatting: Neal, it looks like you were typing with your Thumbs again, can you rephrase this?

Are you guys thinking i should by the bolt through rubber engine mounts and a poly trans mount or stock rubber mounts and a poly trans mount? or what?

If I were to do it again I would get the interlocking mounts and the poly trans as well.  I notice no harshness from the trans and have stock rubber to worry about at the motor.  If you are going to change them go for the 60 dollar stuff not the 6 dollar stuff like me.LOL
