Great topic thank you!

I have no children but I have a 4 year old nephew that whether his parents like it or not will know these cars inside and out if aunty has a say in it

His eyes light up when I pull up in front of the house and I am only in a Daytona loool I have taken him to many car show & shines all ready and if I haven't called him on a Saturday morning he calls me and asks if there are any cars to go see today

He doesn't quite understand that he can't touch and no I don't think they will let you sit in the driver's seat but a few of the owners have let him and he just loves it. His eyes just go wide when he sees the brighter colored cars and any that have BIG tyres

I have a couple of nieces...much older and one of their boyfriend's is right into mopars so we end up pairing together gabbing about cars at family functions  :smokin:

My 2 year old daughter has already stated "I going to drive daddys big blue car. OK"

So I guess that she has some interest in it.

A whole lot of rust and very little time to work on it...

i dont have any kids but i can tell you kids today are really into the "old school" muscle cars and really pay them a ton of respect i did several import shows a few years back where the only class for me to compete in was get this domestic v-8.  And i won every show i did against vipers, vette's, mustangs ,ect... so kids today do have alot more knowledge about classic cars them most people think

i think a lot of kids my age do respect them, but 99% of them lack the drive (lol or the funds) to go out and restore a car.....most of them think they've accomplished a major task by putting on a cold air intake!

Most of the kids I am friends with would like to get a classic car if they were allowed to. All the time in school random kids ask me how the car is sometimes I respond "shiny" and sometime I give an actual response, it gets annoying being asked so much. I am 16 and on my second charger.

I have no kids but the ones around here are like most-into the ricers but I`ve found most respect and appreciatethe old muscle cars more than you would think.Every time I hit the drags on a street night the kids always check out the cuda and tell me sweet car.I think a lot more would own them but they are not real practical for an everyday driver and so you need more money,a place to store/work on them etc.
