You cant fling a dead cat in Milwaukee right now without hitting one! Now DON'T get me wrong Harleys are ok, got lots of friends/and family who have them (including my sis for about 25 years!). I just never caught the bike bug. I've noticed when I've had NIKKI out this weekend we get lots of nods and thumbs up!   :grinyes: We never get that from guys on rice rockets!    :grinno:

They are looking better and better all the time to me. More models and variations now than in the past. I really dig the V-Rod and am actually keeping tabs on prices. I think I am getting so fed up not being able to cruise my car that I am looking for the cheapest cool way to get on the road.

I noticed a couple of days ago, that when GO-FISH came by my house, he was driving a diesel VW . It was cool since it had a/c and also got 51 mpg on his trip here :2thumbs: Even at 4 plus for a gallon, that is some good mileage and a comfy ride

How cool I'm a fan! Although my mother would prefer I wasn't. She hauled me off one at the traffic lights when I was younger think I am still grounded

I begged my parents to let me get a bike but when we were hit on one and I wound up with a broken leg...she quit saying "let me think about it"

I remember when there was some bike convention here unfortunately there were a lot of "outlaw" bikers and when they entered the city limits the police were waiting for them to give them an escort out of the city looooool

I love seeing some of the old bikes and custom bikes it would be cool to see endless rows of bikes. To see what they started out like and how much they have evolved is pretty interesting.

This guy got so caught up with the 105 years he put 105 American flags on his bike loool

If yuppies did not start riding then Harley would have gone under back when they were in trouble. Now dont get me wrong, there is nothing more pathetic than some guy throwing some leathers on and thinking he is a badass biker but recreational riding on a Harley should not be confined to the traditional riders. When I was younger a Harley rider was most likely trouble in one form or another. While biker gangs are still popular it has also become acceptable to have a nice cruiser without having everyone look at you like you are a criminal. Of course there are exceptions to every rule and there have always been decent, law abiding people riding hogs. I always liked the acceleration of the crotch rockets myself but as I mellow out (get older), a nice cruiser like a V-Rod or a Victory is very appealing to me.

With the Harley plant here in York. We have bike week coming up soon. I don't mind them. I have friend's that have bikes and go along for rides once in a while. I use to have Poker Runs for charity events. Good times.  :2thumbs:

I'd love to have a Harley some day, one of the biggest dealers in the state is a mile from my house, so we see just about every type of guy and gal on them.  I wouldnt want anything fancy, just a nice mellow cruiser.

I 05 while we were at Carlisle we went through that Harley plant. It was well worth the time. I'm not a big bike fan but it was fun to see how they are built.
