Thinking about selling
« on: August 28, 2008 - 01:51:18 PM »
I have a 74 Barracuda, the car was complete without a grille and the windshield and rear window were smashed. The car is a 318 auto, ac, 8 3/4 rear, vinyl top, 14" Rallye wheels. When I bought it I paid $3,500. The roof was rotted, the floors and trunk were also gone. With the exception of a dent in the front fender (fixable) the car is pretty solid and only has 44K original miles. I had a pro cut off the old roof and weld in a new one, replace both of the floor pans and in the middle of doing the trunk.
I have two grilles(both need some work) , a std tranny with a blow shield, a rear quater skin, frame conntectors, an XV Motorsports radiator support and more. The car is dismantled and on a rotisserie.
With buying a new house and now putting my daughter in private school, the time and money is not there to complete the project is not looking good for it to be done anytime soon.
I was thinking of selling it and picking up something I can drive while playing with it. Maybe a Dart or Duster or even (Don't hate me) a Mustang.
What do you guys think it's worth. I haven't added up all my receipts of what I have spent on it. But I was thinking about $7,000 w/ the rotisserie. I bought the car and all the parts while everything was through the roof.
Thanks
