1968 Dodge Charger R/T:1 of 2 known LL1 Hemi '68 Charger R/T
426 Hemi - 727 console automatic
LL1 - Dark Turquoise metallic with Persian (pearl) white interior
This is a great car.. On top of being a 1968 Charger R/T, it's equipped with the elephant 426 hemi. One step further, it's one of only two known LL1 '68 Hemi Charger R/T's. The other one is a non-vinyl top and black interior 4-speed car... The color combination on this one is great. The white interior is a perfect match to for the turquoise exterior. As you can see from the pictures, it's in progress. The paint and body are very very straight and awesome. The underside was completed in the OEM factory primer/overspray method. Yes, the primer was flat from the factory, but I used the dark dip primer from a well-known mopar firm. I think it came out great. The paint shop and I paid particular attention to detail to the extent finances would allow. An example of the previous statement is the tabs on the driver's side quarter extension and rear valance that hold the wiring harness down. The reproduction sections do not include these items. This would be a great addition to any muscle car collection let alone a mopar collection. It doesn't get much better than this...
The car is complete project. There are things that still need to be refurbished and other things in which I have either already done, or have NOS:
Some examples are:
- new seat covers ft/rr
- new door panels ft/rr
- new carpet
- new white vinyl top ( the car is an original black vinyl top car, but I bought white for it would compliment the interior so well)
- new front parking lamp lenses
- and a bunch of others and many more NOS items
- rechromed the original door handles and check moulding (look great)
- upper and lower control arms been replated with new bushing. The lowers were restored like the OEM cosmoline.
Things that need to be refurbished are: ( I have all parts, just haven't gotten around to it yet)
- steering box
- heater box
- steering column
- and further items.....
Why am I selling? That's a fair question. I have a chance to get a Daytona to compliment my '69 Charger 500. I'm such an aerocar guy...... Open to potential Daytona trades and discussion.

It will not take a whole lot of dinero to finish her up, more or less will be time. The value will definitely be there when completed. Now, if you're looking to flip it, your profit margin will be very limited. But again, this doesn't distract from what the car is and what it's worth..
