Will late model exhaust manifolds fit?
« on: September 12, 2008 - 11:53:11 AM »
Will the exhaust manifolds from a Dodge or Jeep 5.2L fit a Challenger with a 318 and power steering?

The reason I ask is I just ordered a Magnaflow exhaust kit. I was just looking at the current exhaust to see where I was going to connect the new kit and I realized the current manifolds look horribly restrictive. It looks the manifolds have a tiny opening that connect to maybe a 1" diameter pipe which later expands to 1 1/2 or 1 3/4 pipe. The late model manifolds look like they would flow better and have much larger opening to connect to the mid-pipe.

Any suggestions for a potential junkyard search? I'd like to keep this cheap, already spent a wad on the Magnaflow kit.  ;D

Thanks for your help!

Yes they fit & are less restrictive , there are two sizes of outlet on them also , the early ones are bigger
