1968 Barracuda for sale
« on: July 30, 2008 - 12:47:30 PM »
I have decided to sell my 1968 Barracuda notchback project. Car is in primer with all body work on the main shell done. I have the entire front clip, but it is not on the car. Fenders are not perfect, but they are as nice as you can find for these cars without spending a fortune, trust me I searched all over the country for months just to get what I currently have. K-member has been sandblasted and all front end components are new, with the big bolt patter swap having been completed on the front. Dash is in excellent shape, floor is as clean as any Mopar A-body you will ever find, even in the south. Some parts I have accumulated are a super nice rear seat, fish emblems, tail lights, headlight assemblies, and lots of other small odds and ends things. Rear end is an 8-3/4, but I do not know the ratio or if it is a sure-grip or not. I have a 4.10 SG with the big bolt axles that comes with.

I also have a freshly rebuilt A-500 overdirve transmission. THis trans. has been built to handle 450 HP+ and has a shift kit installed for 6200 RPM wide-open throttle shift points. Trans is thte older style that is not computer controlled, so OD can be controlled by toggle switch or even oil pressure switch. I am asking $650 for the trans, which is considerably less than what I have in it.

I also have a couple of different motor options that we could talk about if you would like.

Car alone I would take $2500 for, if you want the car with trans. I could go $2950. I would be very interested in trading for a full sized Dodge 4x4 or Dakota 4x4, V8 only. I am located in Southern Iowa.  Contact joshclark31@hotmail.com or call me at 641-295-3155

Man, I really like that body style over the fast-back.  Price seems pretty fair with what I've been watching lately.  Hopefully it goes to a good home.

Thanks, I like the notchbacks alot better myself.  I don't think I am out of line at all on price, especially compared to what I paid for it.  I am losing money but need it gone so I priced it low hoping to sell fast.

Well my wife'll KILL me if I go buying another car, so I'm afraid I'll have to sit this one out.  I wish you luck though.

Am I really that far out of line on my price?  I have been actively trying to sell this car for 3 months with almost zero interest.  Considering what I paid for the car, I am almost giving it away...tell me that I got took if you think I did.  Either way I can't believe nobody wants it for the price.

Any chance you know the build date for the car?

About the build date...no I do not know it off hand, but I will see if I can find out this weekend.   About the pics, I did attach one link to a photobucket image, as I did not have any luck getting them to directly attach to my original post.  I will try again.
