My new puppy
« on: September 17, 2008 - 08:46:05 PM »
Well I have gotten a new puppy this week. She is a Shih-Tzu
My Shih-Tzu, Mickey  that I had for 12 1/2 years died back in may and I said that that was the last dog for me because I still miss him as much today as then.
Her name is Roxie and she will be 7 weeks old on friday. I got to see her the night she was born and went to see her every week since.I really think she picked me instead of me picking her.
P.S. She has six toes on each back foot and I have been calling her "Six Pack"

I remember your story very well as I lost a boy 12 1/2 year old shih tzu about the same time.  She is precious and looks a lot like our new baby boy named tug.

I know it still doesn't replace our past dogs, but sure makes life a little easier.

I know it was about the same time, I remember PM about it.  We said we weren't getting another one, but we have 2 blondes and not having a black 7 white just didn't seem right, so we drove to Oklahoma and rescued one.

She is so cute!

It is hard to loose one, but it makes day to day a little easier when you have another one.

Many members here have pets as many have posted them previously.

Glad you took another little one in and now has a great home, we always say after they are gone that is going to be it, but I don't think any of us really ever stick to that.

I never had or wanted a little doggie until my 14 year old neice wanted one in the year 2000.
(my neice was brought up by my parents and myself). Anyway she begged us and brought
me over to see the litter of pups her best friend's bichon ****zu had. First time I saw this
puppy I fell in love. He was so tiny back then and so sweet. I could not say no to my
neice and we bought the puppy and brought him home and named him Freddie.

My neice eventually grew out of Freddie and when she moved out at 18 years Freddie stayed.
This doggie has brought our family so much happiness and joy in the last 8 years I do not know
what it would be like without him.

Congratulations on the new puppy and the joy and pleasure that doggie will bring to your family.

P.S. Just thought I would post our family's doggie too!

Glad you got picked.  We decided it was time for our little girl to get a puppy too.  She named her Tresa ( tree-sa )  I just call her Little Evil.
