i can't make up my mind, i have a 74 cuda with a mild 340, 727 and 4.11's. with current setup i'm in the 13.5's at the track.
i would like to see high 12's next year but i also want to be able to get on the highway and cruise without grandma flippin me the bird as she screams by me.i already bought a set of eddy rpm heads and with my budget these are my options.
1. ported eddies with more cam on my current 340 [ this motor is over 10 years old, milage unknown ] gear vendors and leave the 4.10's in.
2. 408 or 416 stroker with ported eddies, no gear vendors and change ratio for highway, maybe 3.55's
i love the idea of the gear vendors, i think it would be a blast and i would have the best of both worlds but i also like the idea of the stroker and that way everything is new. what would get better times the 340 setup or the stroker with tall gears? what gears would i need to run to keep the rpms under 3,000 at 70mph with 28'' tires?
