Double Adjustable UCAs

I'm looking at the double adjustable upper control arms. If I understand the design right, it allows camber and caster to be altered more or less indepently. Is this correct?

yes , they use rod ends so both ends can be threaded out evenly to change camber & you can thread each end in opposite directions to set cater without affecting camber

One more question ... or maybe several.

I see the end links and I understand their purpose. What takes the place of bushings in the mounting mechanism then? Do these still use the cam bolt, and if so is there a lot of added stress on it? If there are no bushings, is this essentially a solid suspension at the points were bushings would have been?

The heims take the place of the bushings, so yes, they create a more solid mounting since there is no rubber in there any more. The cam bolt can be retained of you want, or it can be replaced. There is no additional stress on the part, but it does receive more direct stress compared to the rubber.

I beleive they do offer a threaded joint style with a bushing instead of a bearing. The biggest advantge to the double adjustables is you do not need to remove the arm to move the adjustment whereas a plain threaded bushing/heim, you would need the arm removed to thread the mounting point in or out beyond the normal range of the eccentrics.

I haven't seen those, HP. I've looked at Firm Feel, CAP and Magnum Force. Any other places I should look?

Well, you may be right.

You could make your own. You need a steel sleeve to hold the bushing, and a threaded rod to screw into the arm. Definetly could be knocked out by a machine shop.

You also could ask the manufacturers themselves. if they have enough inquiries about it, it may motivate them to expand the offering.
