Piston clearence
« on: October 03, 2008 - 01:31:51 PM »
I have learned a lot about the importance of correct piston clearence the past week but what is the maximum
clearence with hypereutectic pistons? What are the consequences at to high clearence except noice?
I can't seem to find that info somewhere.

contact the piston Mfg they will have the correct spec , Hyper pistons can be very brittle too loose & the piston can break requiring the replacement of just about the whole engine

Called KB, they recomend 0,002. At 0,003 you would hear them at startup and at 0,004 they would make constant noice.

Thanks for the tip Chryco  :2thumbs:
