Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins once said "Nobody ever went faster grinding the floor of a port".   :smokin:

I leave the floor rough to create turbulence to force the flow higer in the port so I never even touch the floor to polish it

"good port job". Hard to determinate what it really means. Actually i have pictures of 2 good port jobs.

My friend home ported 915 small block heads laying in top of 408.

He said they are too small for 400+ engine but they work pretty well. Hi`s duster ran 11.62s/116mph. Somewhere around 3350lbs. I could say they are well ported for a street car.

The other well ported heads i have are the w2 heads but they are for drag racing only because of the huge intake ports. You need lots of rpm to get enough velocity. I already showed the pictures on the other thread but here are they again.

There are few pictures of the heads.
