McQuay Norris Main Bearings
« on: October 03, 2008 - 02:02:00 PM »
Anybody have a part number for McQuay Norris main bearings for a 383 low deck motor. I got a set in a parts lot and just want to make sure they are the correct part numbers. They quit making these years ago and apparently the techs cant look them up anymore. I was hoping someone had an old catalog laying around. I will post the numbers tonight when i get home tonight.
Thanks

I have clevite 77 rod bearings marked 2320cp & cb-527p, which i know are for stock size big blocks. But have Mcquay Norris main bearings marked 2321cp for the (4) mains and 2322cp for the thrust bearing. Since they are sequential in numbers i would assume they go together, but does anyone know for certain?
Thanks
Dave

I called federal modgul and have them cross reference the bearings. Turns out they are a special order set of bearings for a 2.6245"-2.6255" diameter. They couldnt tell me the application they fit. So i would figure that as being a std. size for the 383-400s.
