Small Block Water pump recommendations
« on: October 20, 2008 - 01:09:10 PM »
It looks like it's water pump time for the 340 in the Cuda.  basically stock motor, 26" rad with factory shroud and clutch type fan.  What water pump are yopu small block guys happy with?  I was looking at Milodon as compared to a local parts house rebuilt one, (cardone) .  the Edelbrock looks nice but too much $$$ for me rught now.  Thinking 100.00 or less.  Also might change the fan clutch while it's off so any brands to look for that too would be nice.

thanks

NEVER,ever buy a rebuilt water pump. Always buy new. A new one from the parts place should be fine.

I've got the MP viscous clutch fan package and the MP aluminum water pump.  I picked up power when I swaped from a direct drive fan to this one, and the car runs cooler with this water pump.
