fiberglass,rubber frt bumpers,and foglights
« on: October 13, 2008 - 01:38:12 PM »
I've got a fiberglass frt bumper. I'm attempting to remount my foglights and wondering if I have to notch the lower part of
the bumper as the lights hit it? Did the rubber bumpers have this problem and maybe have a different mounting bracket? Or
is this just the aftermarket glass bumpers?  Pete

well I am working on a factory elastomeric bumper car with fog lights but I haven`t looked close enough to see if the brackets are different & I haven`t mounted the front bumper yet either

Sorry for the hijack but do you mind noting the tire combo on the black cuda? I like the way that sits.

Frt's are 245-45-17 with 4.5" backspace, rear is 295-45-18 can't remember backspacing but could measure if wanted. Wish I could lower the frt a little more but oil pan won't allow.  Pete

There weren't any clearance problems on our '70 with a fiberglass front bumper and road lights. Maybe your brackets are tweaked a little or need a little this-and-that.

Thanks for the rim specs. No need to go to the trouble of getting the backspacing.
