Trim repair and straightening
« on: April 21, 2010 - 08:14:43 PM »
Anybody know of a company that does trim repair, polish, straightening, etc?  My trim is very rough and could use some straightening.

Which pieces? I fixed a challenger rear window set. They came out pretty nice.Do you have a couple of pictures of the damage?Maybe I could tell you how to do it.

Actually my window trim isn't too bad, just needs polishing up. But my vinyl top trim is bent in a couple places and real rough looking. How can you tell if this stuff is really stainless or something else? I think the vinyl trim is aluminum. I bought a 6" polishing setup from harbor freight an a staightening anvil and hammer from Eastwood. so now i learn. Any pointers would be great. I will try and post a pic of some of my problem areas.

you will also need fairly coarse file,a sharpie marker, and emery paper in a couple of grits to get closer to what the buffer needs to see.

I haven't used them yet but I've heard good things about this place.  I'm planning to send some trim suff to them soon.
