70 Cuda Tail lights & side marker lights not working

2 wire switch is for a 70. 71 has a 3 wire plug in

Rob I don't see anywhere where the relay is grounded to the housing. Here are a few pictures of the inside.

Here is the relay as I remember it. I didn't see a ground to the screw and neither did Jeff. It would only work this way if it was either supplying a ground to the lights (if the center pin was hooked to ground)   OR if the switched terminal was getting GROUND from the switch. But then the lights could be left on all of the time, unless a second relay was wired in.

The 70 relay has nothing to do with the on/off function of the fog lamps.  It is only there to turn on the front parking and side marker lights and to trigger the headlights on buzzer if the car is equipped with the A01 package.

Shelby is correct- it grounds out in the device it powers.

in 70 the fog lamps are directly powered thru the switch on the dash- it gets it's power thru the 3 prong yellow bullet connector from the acc. power from the ign. switch.

in 71 the changed it to be powered by a relay from the switch.

The colors of the wires on the relay plug are pink, green, and yellow.

TELL ME WHERE it is located and can you get a pic of the plug??   I've looked in my manuals and can't find that colors of a plug!!!

We still need a wiring diagram.  Why did his parking lights come on when he unplugged the relay.

If you know so much, why don't you just tell us how it should be hooked up.

Here is the plug and the relay is fastened next to the radio on the vertical flat piece of of metal. The pink wire goes into the pink female plug right next to the relay.
