High pitched whine

 :working:My 1970 440 6 pack has a high pitched whine in first and second gear.  and also pops out of second gear  any info would be helpful  It is a four speed transmission obviously! :swear:

Make sure it's full to the fill plug with lube first. A whine in 1st is usually the Input shaft bearing. Popping out of gear could be the shifter stop or lever adjustment or possibly even a bad cluster gear.

it can also pop out of gear if the syncro is bad or the gears are worn as well

I have dealt with Passon Performance , Jamie has everything for the 833 trans , Brewers has most parts for the 4 spd as well , both are great to deal with
