LED vs Standard bulb (non mopar)
« on: March 15, 2013 - 05:48:13 AM »
I changed the oem license plate bulbs over to LED's.  I got them from autozone.  This is on my 2012 Fusion.  I personally like the cleaner look.

OEM bulb left......LED on right

LED on right

I had an OEM bulb socket melt in my Jeep and that scared me enough to switch all my external lights to LED.  It's nice because they take next to no juice to run (I can leave my parking lights on for hours and it still starts fine) and the sockets don't get warm anymore.
Yes I own a 1972 Dodge Challenger Convertible T/A S/E with a 440 Six Pak. Can it get any more wrong?

Tos elook like the style my dad uses in his Honda Accord for the dome light.

Don't know why but the light will blow every so often, really weird as I have never replaced any in my Hondas.  I wonder if switchiing to LEDs will help.

Thanks for posting this!
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.
