Install Cuda Quarter Window Weatherstrip
« on: November 05, 2008 - 09:56:43 PM »
Any suggestions/tips on how to do this?  I have the window out, but sliding in the new weatherstrip is turning out to be a real PITA. :stomp:

I think when I installed mine they did not slide in.  Place the strip in the finished location and just start pushing the strip into the metal, like it tucks into the groove., like a snap in fit.  Of  course it has been a while . I installed mine with the windows in the car so I know I couldn't slide them in from the bottom................

I slid mine in it was tight :eek4:, I think I used a very small amount of silicone spray to help them along.   Maybe a short stay in the freezer will make them contract enough to slide in easier?

I hit mine with some silicone and it finally went.  Thanks for the tip.

I give up trying to install mine. They need to be installed to. Maybe Chryco will do it for me when/if he comes. I almost damaged the new drivers side trying to install it.

Sweet, glad it worked for you.

Maybe it will work for AL too.

Maybe the weatherstrip in the freezer will work?  That and a nice toasty garage to heat up the Chrome.
