Gas tank color???

i am in the process of redoing the entire underside of my cuda and would like to know what color the gas tank was from the factory. i have seen black and silver.

Hi Lime, The tanks are usually left in there raw color of silver buddy.

What about factory undercoated cars? was the whole tank sprayed or just what was easy to shoot?

the tank would have been over sprayed on the edges but was not coated , the tanks are galvanized fron the factory & shouldn`t rust , I have clear coated new tanks as some have rusted , never paint a tank black , I have seen the fuel boil in black tanks causing vapor lock problems
