« on: November 06, 2008 - 06:47:31 PM »
I am converting over to led. I know that i need a no load flasher. but I wanted to ask will a flasher like this ...

Work on the challenger?

I would think so but I also wanted to ask if they where 2 or 3 prong or something else all together. I am at work and can get a set but don't have access to the car. THANKS!!   Last do I need to replace both or one?

The flasher for your car should be a common, 2-prong unit. Don't forget the hazard flasher, too. Should be a 552, if my brain is properly inserted. Just ask for the one that is suitable for use with LED lighting.

I didn't get this info until I got up from a long sleep. But where I am going with this is I took some time last night and installed the new LED's on the front parking lamps of my challenger. They worked great!!!!!! I didn't change the flasher. Is that going to be an issue or can I just not fix what an't broke?

If there's enough load to trip the flasher, leave it alone. You might be looking at the difference between LED at one end, and LED at both ends. There may be sufficient load now, but less when the rears go LED, causing them to not blink. If that happens, then buy the no-load flasher.
