I agree with the Mac stuff, I do like how they have some better designs on things and prices. I didn't buy too much from SnapOn, I do LOVE their new 80tooth ratchets. They are really nice to work with vs the old cog tooth ones. Screwdrivers I went SnapOn, they have a little 9.2v driver that works great for dashes, oil pans, screws here and there. All my airtools are Mac, best bang for buck on a lot of things.
When I was a tech at Ford, we had this one stupid recall to replace the release latches for minivan rear bench seats. I only got one van the entire time I was there, and to replace these latches you simply took these screws out of the handle, slid the old handle off, slid the new handle on and replaced the screws...
I sat there for HALF AN HOUR trying to take these freakin' screws out. They were SO TIGHT that I stripped one of my Craftsman phillips screwdriver heads. Finally after enough cursing my master tech came over, asked me what was going on. I explained, and he laughed, took his Snap-On phillips screwdriver - just a regular screwdriver, nothing fancy - had the screw out in 15 seconds. He turns me to me, hands me the screwdriver, and says, "Snap on, dude - there IS a difference."
I bought a set later that week when the driver came by.
Still have 'em, work great.
