Looking for a cheap (under $2000) Mopar of any kind......
« on: September 26, 2008 - 06:00:38 PM »
I will be taking my 318 and 3 speed out of my 71 Challenger and want to put it into something. The motor only has 500 miles on it and it was put in there just to move the car in and out of my garage. The car is getting the 440 and 4 speed that is built for it. So if anyone near IL has a old Mopar they wish to get off their property, let me know.  I would really like a 71 roadrunner, satellite, or cuda, but beggars can't be choosers.  I am willing to travel though too, as I have a car hauler.  I will be at the Jefferson WI car show this weekend.

Keep an eye on craigslist, they are listed for that price all the time.

Man, i wish I had the $2000 for that satellite. That is exactly what I am looking for, but unfortunately, when I put that ad out I had the money and now i don't. I acquired a 68 Coronet R/T 440 4speed dana 60 car and a 92 Camaro. Plus I am restoring my 71 Challenger and my wifes 74 Corvette is almost done. I just have too many irons in the fire right now. I also am restoring a 67 Camaro convertible for a friend of mine.  Yea, I know you can go ahead and bash me for the Chevy stuff, but I get whatever makes me money, in times like these.

I have a 92 Camaro but I am in the process of redoing it. The previous owner backed into a pole so I am going to fix it and repaint the entire car. it will be worth a lot more than $2000 when I am done though.  I would trade if I hadn't already done most of the work and acquired all the parts, but now I am too far into it to stop.
